Ginette Ersgaard

Hiya people!

My name is Ginette Ersgaard, and I’m a 25 year-old girl from Denmark. Well actually, just my dad is from Denmark. My mom was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo (formally Zaire), in the middle of Africa.

My dad married my mom while he was working for a European firm in Congo. They lived in Congo for a while, where my brother and I were born.

I lived in Congo until I was about 4 years old, and then my dad had to move back to Denmark because of work. Naturally, the whole family moved with him, and I've been happily living in Denmark ever since.

Unfortunately, both my mom and dad passed away when I was just 11 years old in a terrible car accident. Of course this was a horrible and life-changing event that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

My brother and I were fortunate enough to be taken in by my parent's best friends. They raised us like we were their own children, and were given a wonderful youth and a great change in life.
