Like your money? Want to keep more of it?

By The FoolProof Team

This site is all about straight answers: advocacy, not propaganda.

Everything on this site is developed by consumer advocates, not marketers.

So, who says the data we present is legit? All data was generated by young people at The FoolProof Initiative—average age: under thirty.

FoolProof’s programs are tough. The programs are the only financial literacy programs in the United States that are endorsed by both the Consumer Federation of America and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.

More about this site:

First, everything you see and hear here is real. Every story on this site is about a real young person who was taken advantage of or who did something right. Sometimes the young people who got taken were at fault. They didn't listen or know any better. Or worse, they didn't care. Sometimes the businesses were at fault. The free enterprise system is a great thing, but it doesn't protect you: it allows business to sell you, whether or not you should be buying. You better learn that lesson right now.

Second, if you're smart, you're going to be scared by some of the stuff we're going to show you. Why? Because it's so easy to mess up when it comes to money. You probably already know that everything you do financially—both good and bad—is going to follow you for the rest of your life. Literally. Little mistakes now can create huge, long-term problems.

Like credit cards. Credit cards wreck a lot of young people's credit before they know it. They ruin their credit for years because they don't know how to manage credit cards. We show you how.

Third, we're going to cover some simple topics that will have a huge impact on the quality of your life. If you care about freedom, and being able to do what you want in life, you must have one thing: good credit. You don't have to be rich to live a kickin' life, but you do have to be credit-worthy. Even if you have no credit and no money, carefully building credit now and saving regularly (even a small amount) can change your life.

Fourth, we're going to give you the lowdown on fine things-like free phone calls, free (and legal) software downloads. Every few weeks we'll post new stories.

So jump in! And don't forget to tell us what you think.

Regards,

Will & The FoolProof Team
